There are important issue's with any observed now and thens! Take Zeno's paradox as an example, the hare and tortoise are configured at a point in space-time,(A) the start of a race, and at a later point the end of the race(B), the race being the 'phase'where all the action takes place,(between points in time (A and B) and the outcome of the race being the end result(re-configuration). So the story goes, the Hare cannot catch the tortiose if he lets tortiose go ahead(hare delays his start-time)so this is not how nature works, both are at the start-point, so both must enter a 'phase'between A and B in motion. Just by remaining at the start(at rest) the hare pre-determines the outcome, and hence the self-inflicting Zeno's paradox. Now if one use's equivilent 'Time and motion' functions for A and B , then the swiftness of the hare would become obvious, bourne out by observation. Be aware that QM can produce its own (Zeno's paradoxes)by introducing at the moment of observation, a pre-determined phase-shift!
