Their pomposity is inversely proportional to their grasp of the relevant issues. Another thing is that most of them usually start straight with the ad hominems. This seems to be a common characteristic among the incompetent. Too bad for them that they are pathetically wrong when it comes to motion in spacetime. Any physicist or mathematician (and that includes you Mr. DickT) who cannot figure out on his or her own something as elementary as the impossibility of motion in spacetime should have his or her title rescinded and his alma mater boycotted and picketed for fraud. "Nothing can move in spacetime" simply means that, if one assumes the physical existence of a time axis, then the universe is motionless. Since we know empirically that this is not true, therefore there is no time dimension. And if there is no time dimension, there is no time travel either. And if there is no time travel, the following individuals are either crackpots or frauds or both: Stephen Hawking, Kip Thorne, John A. Wheeler. Like it or lump it! By the way, I take full responsibility for what I write here and on my web site. If any of these individuals (or their followers) think that they are being slandered or maligned in any way, they should feel free to have their lawyers contact me and we can settle this in court. My real name is Louis Savain. I use the Nemesis moniker for effects only. I'm sure you will all enjoy my inflammatory prose. But thes is just the beginning. There are plenty of other forums where I make my views heard. Nemesis
