No progress will be made in our understanding of motion, gravity and inertia by having civilized and polite discussions with them. They have a faith to uphold and a religion to protect. The only way to destroy their faith and abolish their religion is by forceful conquest and the imposition of a new religion. You see, this is the way it has always been. It's all about religion. That is the lesson of history. The motion in spacetime crackpottery that I wrestle against has been around for a hundred years. It is now an institution and its practitioners are entrenched now more than ever. They will not move out of the way and accept defeat. It's a matter of prestige, authority and credibility. They will fight it teeth and nails all the way to the end. The only way for the rebels to win is to form a hostile stronghold outside the walls and hope that they can gain enough converts and defections to breach through. Once they're in they must pillage and destroy the old order through terror. Their leaders must be put in chains, tarred and feathered and paraded through the streets for all to see. This is war, my friend. It's the nature of the human animal. This is what Thomas Kuhn was talking about in his book "The Nature of Scientific Revolutions". Now, about the site to which you referred. I have no problem with using a static spacetime diagram to analyze the history of the evolution of matter in space. I do have a problem with people insisting on the basis of the utility of the diagram that there is a time dimension and that we are moving through it. This is pure unfettered crackpottery. Nemesis
