position space and momentum space (Phase space)

the uncertainty principle is the only system thatmakes us think we are dealing with pionts in phase space. the piont in phase space is a cell with a minimum volume that is centered at this location as you might know(above co-ordinates), wierd though because each cell in this phase space consists on k co-ordinates as k momentum, also occupies a volume of h(small k) going towards Shroedinger and even probability wave field distribution functions defines what matter and energy is all about. maths makes up this absraction that we think has some "stuffness" about it. It might not be "stuff" in the general sens e we think of mass equaling volume times density so, I think this question equates to "what really is physics?" and is directly related to science which evolves more than we would like to think and consequently asks that same about "what really is string in string theory?" in the same light. hard "stuff".
