I think Firetag answered this above. The 11 is the
dimensionality of functions in your L^2. The dimension
of the L^2 is still infinite. Spacetime dimension
is one thing, Hilbert space dimension is another.
After all, standard quantum mechanics is done in
3 dimensions (psi(x,y,z)).
