What about the other 16?

Okay... we have the three constant dimensions of our
Universe... length, width, height... we also have
time... and besides that we have these six other
dimensions that are Plack size.... So... when using
the String theory (no supersymmetry) with just
Bosons... what's happening/happened/going to happen
with the other 16 dimensions? How big are they?,
where are they?, and why do they disappear when
fermions are introduced into the theory?
