"SPHERICAL COORDINATES VS.CYLINDRICAL COORDINATES
VS.CATESAN COORDINATES"
In gedanken experiment I would use the mathematical transformations to see if that technique meets the physical reality of a situation. If a sphere has dimensions, trying to transform them into cylindrical coordinates, then to catesan coordinates. But the solid sphere has all space occupied,so what would come out of the inversion,I believe is another solid sphere, because each point would map into itself into an identical one in another space. In GROUP THEORY we create space groups performing transformation operations.Translations, rotations, reflections, and inversions etc.Group theoretical tables, would give you an idea about space groups generated by such operations.
