I find your thinking process interesting here.
In the one sense, one does not deny discrete functions, yet there is a continuity of flow. How would those ants sense this function, and we have to think, well, if not exposed to the light, what factors would have signalled this sense of change?
If such flares affect the earth's field, how would systems below the earth, on earth, recogize this? The vibratory patterns in the Sun(Soho), are understood, and we watch for these changes, because of what they can do to communication systems? Weather pattern disruptions? Biological systems?
